Jazz on 2nd Sundays returns to the Buffalo History Museum beginning in October! The fall lineup is comprised of Buffalo's most beloved groups including Star People, Phil Sims' Cabaret Big Band, and the BJC Sextet.

Cabaret Big Band Plays and Sings Harold Arlen

The music of Buffalo-born composer Harold Arlen comes to life in this show featuring Phil Sims and the Cabaret Big Band with vocalist Katy Miner. "Blues in the Night," "Come Rain or Come Shine," "Over the Rainbow," "Stormy Weather" and "That Old Black Magic" are just some of the classic songs featured in this exciting concert.
Star People Plays Miles Davis in 1968

This concert is part of a special series, Jazz Impressions: 1968, curated by composer and percussionist, John Bacon. Through this series, artists reflect on the social, political, historical, artistic, and musical aspects of one of the most tumultuous years in American History. For this concert, Star People, one of Buffalo’s premier jazz ensembles, will explore the music of 1968 through the lens of jazz legend, Miles Davis.
